Guyanese-British Actress Ms. Letitia Wright Addresses the National Assembly

Guyanese – British Actress Ms. Letitia Wright today addressed Members of the National Assembly during the 59th Sitting of the National Assembly of the Twelfth Parliament of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana.
The Wakanda Princess, before the Sitting, met with the Hon. Manzoor Nadir, M.P., Speaker of the National Assembly, in his chamber.
Ms. Wright, during her brief remarks, thanked Speaker Nadir for the opportunity to address Members of the House and urged them to continue the work to empower the Nation.
The Prime Minister, the Hon. Brigadier (Ret’d) Mark A. Phillips, M.S.S., M.P., welcomed the famed movie star's return to Guyana’s soil and the National Assembly.
Opposition Members, Mr. Lenox R. O’Dell Shuman, M.P., Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, and Ms. Catherine A. Hughes, M.P., also echoed a warm welcome to the Actress.
Members of Parliament on both the Government and Opposition Benches, during the recess, met with the Actress in their respective Caucus Rooms.
Ms. Wright is known for her supporting role as Shuri, King T'Challa's (Chadwick Boseman) sister and princess of Wakanda in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) Black Panther in 2018.
Following the death of Chadwick Boseman, Ms. Wright was thrust in to lead role as the “Black Panther” in the sequel Wakanda Forever.
She also appeared in other motion pictures, television series, and the 2022 Illumination-produced animated film, Sing 2 as Nooshy.
