High Commissioner of India to Guyana pays Courtesy Call on Speaker of the National Assembly of the Co-operative Republic of Guyana

Indian High Commissioner to Guyana, His Excellency (H.E.) Dr. K.J. Srinivasa, today, paid a courtesy call on the Hon. Manzoor Nadir, M.P., Speaker of the National Assembly, in the Speaker’s Chamber at the Public Buildings, Brickdam, Georgetown.
During the visit, their discussions varied on matters of bilateral interest.
Speaker Nadir reiterated the strong bond between the two Nations and expressed appreciation for collaborative efforts and support from India.
H.E. Srinivasa mentioned training opportunities provided by India to Guyana under the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) programme, particularly in Legislative Practices, Parliamentary Procedures, et cetera.
Moreover, the Indian High Commissioner further extended, via the Commission, support for training of personnel from the National Assembly of the Parliament of Guyana.
During his visit, the Indian Commissioner signed the visitors’ book.
Mr. Vijayakumar K., Counsellor attached to the High Commission of India to Guyana, was also present during the courtesy call.
