In a fiercely competitive showdown, the Child Rights Ambassadors Youth Group, emerged victorious against the Oasis of Optimism Youth Group in the first of four matchups in the quarter-finals (round 2) of the Speaker's National Youth Debating Competition 2024.
During this 9:30 a.m., virtual matchup, the teams showcased their eloquence, intellect, and persuasive arguments. Moreover, each participant displayed exceptional debating prowess, leaving a lasting impression on the judges.
The moot for this debate was, “Privacy is dead with Artificial intelligence.”
Ms. Attiya Griffith of the Child Rights Ambassadors Youth Group copped the Best Debater award for this matchup.
The combined average scores for the judges were as follows: for the Proposition, the Oasis of Optimism Youth Group, 181 points, and 195 points for the Opposing side, the Child Rights Ambassadors Youth Group.
