The President has, by Proclamation No. 3 of 2015 , made on 24th February, 2015, dissolved the Tenth Parliament of Guyana.
With the dissolution of Parliament on 28th February, 2015, Members have vacated their seat in the National Assembly and cease to be a Member thereof.
Notwithstanding the dissolution of Parliament on 28th February, 2015, some persons who hold specified Offices will continue to hold those Offices. These are: the Speaker of the National Assembly, the Prime Minister, the Ministers of the Government, the Leader of the Opposition, the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly and the Parliamentary Secretary.
