Honourable Speaker Manzoor Nadir to address Parliament of India’s Lok Sabha on International Day of Democracy

Hon. Manzoor Nadir, Speaker of the National Assembly, has been invited by Speaker of the Parliament of India’s Lok Sabha, His Excellency, Om Birla, to make an address on International Day of Democracy which is celebrated on September 15, annually.
To commemorate the momentous occasion, the Lok Sabha has organised an Online Conference on 15 September, 2021 at 8.30 p.m., (Guyana Time) on the theme, "Role of Legislature in Fostering Effective and Meaningful Democracy".
International Day of Democracy creates an avenue to evaluate the current state of democracy in the world. Civil society, the international community, national governing bodies, and individuals, participate to foster for the greater good of a living democracy, for everyone.
The conference will be attended by the Honourable Speaker, virtually.
