The Guyana Kindness Movement Youth Group and the Stewartville New Horizon Master Guide and Pathfinder Club were victorious on day 3 of the Speaker’s Regional Youth Debating Competition 2023.

The Guyana Kindness Movement Youth Group of Region 2 on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, secured a spot in the Speaker’s National Youth Debating Competition 2023.
They defeated the Queenstown Youth Group in match one of Round two for Region 2, during the morning session of the Speaker’s Regional Youth Debating Competition 2023.
That win secured one of two spots, from that region, for the Speaker’s National Youth Debating Competition 2023.
The Best Debater for this match was Ms. Angelita Chattergoon of the Guyana Kindness Movement Youth Group.
This morning's debate was the only match-up in round 2 for Region 2.
Due to an emergency beyond our control, the debating match-up between the Team Daniels Youth Group and the Good Hope Youth Group was postponed to a later date.
In the afternoon session, the Stewartville New Horizon Master Guide and Pathfinder Club toppled the Small Steps Big Impact Organisation Youth Group in match one of round one for Region 3 for the Speaker’s Regional Youth Debating Competition 2023.
The moot for this debate was, “Public Service work rules are archaic.”
The Best Debater for this match was Ms. Reisa Roberts of the Stewartville New Horizon Master Guide and Pathfinder Club.
The weekly debates are scheduled for Tuesday and Friday and will be streamed live on the Parliament of Guyana’s Web, Facebook, and YouTube pages.
